Suzuki will launch the Burgman Street in a week, but dealerships have started displaying the new scooter, and some of them have even started accepting bookings. Some dealers have said that they expect the price of this scooter to be from Rs 68,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Deliveries are expected to start by the end of July or early August.
The scooter was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year. The Burgman Street uses maxi-scooter styling that’s inspired from the larger Burgman range that’s sold abroad. This scooter will be Suzuki’s First Made-in-India Scooter and it comes with an LED headlight and an all-digital instrument console. It will also get a multi-function key slot, large underseat storage, a 12V charging socket (likely to be an optional extra), cubbyhole below the handlebar and an LED tail-lamp.
This scooter uses an Access 125-sourced 124.3cc motor that makes 8.6hp and 10.2Nm. Other mechanicals are also shared with its 125cc sibling.
Mahindra has confirmed that it will debut a new pickup idea on Indian Independence Day, following its tradition of launching/revealing something on the 15th of August each year. Mahindra has issued a graphic teaser for the Global Pick Up Vision on its social media accounts, revealing that it will be a concept pickup truck based on the Mahindra Scorpio-N.
