Suzuki recently gave a minor update to their entry level performance motorcycle Gixxer SF 155 in the Indian market and now the brand has released the MotoGP livery for the bike. The blue and yellow GSX-RR has won a lot of accolades for the brand in the biking gala and the maker has now brought out the same livery for its entry level bike in the Indian market. The price for the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 MotoGP paint edition has been set at 1.11 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The only change in this version of the bike is the paint scheme and there are no other changes made to the bike’s mechanics.
Suzuki Gixxer 155 SF comes with a 155cc 4 stroke petrol engine rated to deliver 14 Bhp and 14.5 Nm. The transmission duties on the bike are handled by a 5 speed manual gearbox and the suspension is taken care of by telescopic front forks and monoshocker at the rear. The Japanese maker recently made single channel ABS standard on the bike and the coming months will also see the maker upgrading the engine of the bike as per the upcoming BS-VI emission norms.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch of the Gixxer SF with the MotoGP paint scheme, the vice president of Suzuki Motorcycles India, Devashish Handa stated,
We are happy to introduce the GIXXER SF series MotoGP edition, the color admirably expresses the passion and spirit of racing inspired by legendary GSX-R series’ legacy. With State of the art design, high output and low fuel consumption engine along with an easy to handle chassis the GIXXER SF series MotoGP edition is designed to impress. Suzuki Motorcycle India, received an overwhelming response for the newly launched GIXXER SF series with lot of anticipation about the MotoGP colour. We are pleased to announce the launch of the same in Indian market today.
Suzuki also launched the 250cc model in the Gixxer line-up in the Indian market and the updated Gixxer 155 SF borrows lot from the elder sibling. The new updated model of Gixxer SF 155 is more aggressive and defined looking than the 2018 version of the bike. As already stated the looks of the updated version of the bike are inspired by the larger Gixxer 250 and this is evident when you take closer look at the 2019 version of the Gixxer SF. Other changes on the bike include a new clip-on handlebar that replaces the single piece unit that was found on the 2018 Gixxer SF. The exhaust unit too now comes with a chrome layer and is double-barrelled. The seat of the bike is now a spilt unit and the decals on the bike are also new that add a freshness to the looks of the bike. All these changes come together to give the 2019 version of the bike a fresh as well as sportier look when compared to the 2018 Gixxer SF.
