Suzuki GSX-R1000R Ryuyo special edition revealed ahead of its global unveiling at the 2018 EICMA show in Italy later this year. This is the most powerful Suzuki production motorcycle yet to go on sale. The GSX-R1000R Ryuyo is quite a limited edition as the Japanese motorcycle maker will be producing only 20 units of these.
The Suzuki GSX-R1000R Ryuyo is named after the Suzuki test track facility near Hamamatsu. It's a 6.5 km long test track where Suzuki tests all their bikes. The GSX-R1000R Ryuyo is built by Suzuki Moto Italia and this bike isn't road legal, it is a track specific motorcycle. This superbike is powered by a 999cc, 4-cylinder engine.
The litre class bike produces 212 BHP at 12,900 RPM which is 10 BHP more than the standard GSX-R1000R and makes 125 Nm of peak torque. It weighs just 168 kgs as Suzuki has made extensive use of carbon fibre with its body panels. Some of the highlights of this bike include titanium Yoshimura R-11 exhaust system, Öhlins TTX GP monoshock, Showa BFF USD fork and Brembo brakes. The Suzuki GSX-R1000R Ryuyo is expected to be sold in Europe only.
