The BS6-ready Access 125 offers a total of five versions of regular trims and special editions.

Suzuki has just released the Access 125 scooter BS6-compliant version, with prices starting from Rs 64,800 for the Drum CBS and going up to Rs 69,500 for the Special Edition Disc CBS. The scooter has moved its fueling system from a carburettor to fuel injection in the transition to tighter BS6 emission standards.

The upgraded 125 Access will produce 8.7hp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm torque at 5,500rpm in terms of output. Compared with the BS4 generators, the power output remains unchanged. Torque estimates, however, fell by 0.2Nm (although marginally).

Suzuki also used this opportunity to add several features to the Access 125, such as external fuel filling and an LED headlight, along with an Eco light on the speedometer (although not available in the Drum CBS version of the base). Suzuki also said the digital screen now shows a voltage meter showing the safety of the battery.

The BS6-compliant Access 125 competes with the Yamaha Fascino 125 and Honda Activa 125's recently launched BS6 models. The updated Yamaha Fascino 125 is priced at Rs 66,430 for Drum variant and Rs 68,930 for Disk variant, while the Honda Activa 125 is priced at Rs 67,490 for Drum variant and Rs 74,490 for Disk variant, making the three standard Access 125s less expensive than both scooters.

It is worth noting, however, that the top-spec Special Edition versions drive the price range of the Access higher than that of the Fascino.
