The Apache RR 310 will debut at the 2018 INMRC campaign at Kari Coimbatore.
The inaugural edition of the TVS One Make Championship RR 310 will see 12 riders competing for top honours. The race-spec TVS Apache RR 310 will debut at the race. It is powered by the same 313cc, single-cylinder motor as the stock road bike. However, tweaks 38hp at 10,300rpm (stock engine delivers 34hp at 9,700rpm). According to TVS, the Apache RR 310 race-spec bike can hit a top-speed of 175kph.
Engineers have added a performance exhaust and repositioned the foot pegs for a sportier riding posture. The headlight has been removed and the bike also gets new graphics. The TVS One Make Championship RR 310 has five rounds and is part of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC). The first race is at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, on June 8.
B Selvaraj, team manager, TVS Racing said, “The last season was extremely good for us, with our champion rider Jagan Kumar scoring a double hat-trick of championship titles. Also, we won the team and manufacturer championship in Super Sport Indian up to 165cc category. We hope to continue our good form and the first race will be crucial to set the momentum for the rest of the season. The TVS One Make Series is also exciting this year with the inclusion of the TVS One Make Championship RR 310, and the introduction of the race-spec Apache RR 310 and the new Apache RTR 200 Race Edition 2.0.”

China's leading electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD, is facing allegations of tax evasion in India over imported car parts used in local vehicle assembly. India's Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) claims BYD underpaid 730 million rupees (USD 9 million) in taxes, which has been deposited by the company. India imposes import taxes of 70% or 100% on complete electric cars, and 15% or 35% on imported car parts assembled into EVs locally.
On July 27, Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor and German automaker Audi signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to co-develop electrified vehicles. The collaboration aims to create 'intelligent' and 'connected' electric vehicles by combining their individual capabilities and engineering solutions. According to the MoU, the partnership will enable Audi to expedite the development of new EVs and meet the demand for China's fast increasing EV industry. The goal is to quickly and efficiently bring the next generation of intelligent EVs to market.
