Japanese makers Toyota and Honda are symbols of trust and reliability in the Indian car market. The reliability factor also comes at a price and the two brand soften positon their offerings in the market at a higher price point than the rivals and hence attract a particular group of customers. However, the recent slowdown in sales in the market has spared no maker and the election season along with the summer season has only went ahead and compounded the problems of the companies. Therefore, in order to prevent inventory piling up and keep the sales moving the makers have started coming up with attractive discount schemes on their products in order to attract more customers to the showrooms and increase the sales of the models. Toyota and Honda have been doing the same and here is a list of all the offers that the brands are currently running on their models in India.
Honda

Honda WR-V – Total discount upto Rs. 40,000, Discounts include: Exchange bonus of Rs. 15,000 along with first year insurance (worth Rs. 25,000) for car at zero cost to customer.
Honda City -- Total discount Rs. 52,000. Discount includes: Free first-year insurance on every purchase of car and Rs. 20,000 as discount being offered in form of exchange bonus
Honda BR-V – Total Discount worth around Rs. 1 lakhs. Discounts include: Free first-year insurance cover for car on every purchase. Company also offering Rs. 50,000 as exchange bonus. Free Honda genuine accessories worth Rs. 16,500 with every purchase. Customers not exchanging any car can get free insurance on car for first year and Free Honda genuine accessories worth Rs. 26,500 with every purchase.
Toyota
Toyota Etios – Total discount worth Rs. 20,000. Discounts being offered on the car include free genuine accessories from the maker and corporate bonus on every purchase of car.
Toyota Yaris – Company running special finance scheme on C-segment sedan. Finance offer includes less than one percent of interest (0.99%) and a low Easy Monthly Installment package that starts with Rs, 737 per day of the month.
Toyota Corolla Altis -- Total discount worth Rs. 1.2 lakhs. The discounts include several benefits being offered by the company on the car along with a special benefit of corporate bonus of Rs. 40,000 on every purchase of car.
At the Indonesian Motor Show, Toyota unveiled its Rangga compact pickup concept, which previews the pickup truck that will sit below the popular Hilux.
