BS 6 Toyota Fortuner is launched at the same price as the older BS4 version. Launched at Rs 28.18 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Toyota has launched the BS 6 compliant Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market. The SUV has been launched at Rs 28.18 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Identical to the older BS 4 version, the prices of the new BS 6 Toyota Fortuner remains unchanged. It will be competing with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Isuzu MU-X.

This BS 6 model is offered with 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engines. The 2.7L petrol engine outputs 164bhp of max power and 245Nm of peak torque while the 2.8L diesel engine outputs 174bhp of max power and 450Nm of highest torque. Not many cosmetic updates have been made to the BS 6 version of the SUV. The petrol and diesel engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a six-speed automatic transmission, respectively. Along with this, a six-speed automatic gearbox is also offered but only on the 4X4 trim. The diesel comes with four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive options, while on the other hand, the petrol comes only with the latter.

There are hardly any changes in the interiors and exteriors. This new model comes in two interior color scheme namely, dark brown and chamois. The cabin inside comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded navigation along with paddle shifters.

It also offers a host of safety features. These include 7 airbags, hill assist control, vehicle stability control accompanied with brake assist along with ABS with EBD.

This seven-seater SUV flaunts leatherette upholstery, a power-adjustable driver & front passenger seats, auto-dimming internal rear-view mirror along with auto climate control as standard.
