Toyota Urban Cruiser's interior will be finished in a dual-tone dark brown upholstery

Toyota India has officially released the first interior image of the upcoming Urban Cruiser subcompact SUV. The bookings for Toyota Urban Cruiser had started on August 22, 2020 at a token amount of Rs 11,000 across all the company authorized dealerships across the country. Being the second product after the Glanza hatchback to emerge from Toyota-Suzuki global partnership, it is expected to launch by mid September in the Indian market. The Urban Cruiser will rival the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300 in India.

Going by the image released by Toyota, the Urban Cruiser will have a dual-tone dark brown cabin with several premium features. The subcompact SUV will get Engine Push Start/Stop Button and Automatic AC as standard features across the entire variant lineup. The range-topping variants will come with Electrochromic Rear View Mirror, Cruise Control and Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Smartphone-based Navigation. At the outside, it flaunts dual chamber LED Projector Headlamps with dual function LED DRL-cum–indicators, twin-slat wedge cut dynamic front grille and trapezoidal LED fog lamps. The SUV will ride on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Mechanically, Toyota Urban Cruiser will be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5L 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine which will develop a top power of 104bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 138Nm at 4400rpm. The engine will be linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the 4-speed automatic transmission will be available as option. All the automatic variants will be equipped with an advanced Li-Ion battery with an ISG- Integrated Starter Generator (Torque assist, regenerative braking & idle start stop). Toyota will also offer several additional benefits with the Urban Cruiser such as 3year/100K Kms standard warranty, express service of EM60, warranty extension and other convenience services like WhatsApp communication.
