TVS’ New Electric Scooter Spotted

The full-size TVS electric scooter is touted to shake up the Indian EV market.

TVS Motors is readying its first electric bike for India. Right now, there are several small-time players that offer cheap, Chinese-built models, that are often unreliable and don’t come with a robust aftersales service backing. The upcoming TVS Model could be India’s first credible electric two-wheeler and could be a game changer.

The new electric scooter is likely to share parts with the Jupiter. It will come with a comfortable, spacious and lightly stepped seat. There will be a new monoshock suspension for the rear and drum brakes on both ends.

This scooter will most probably come fitted with premium alloy wheels with tubeless tyres as standard. Power, charge time and range will be crucial. The company isn’t revealing much about its future EV plans but it has confirmed that the scooter is in testing stage.

So far, there is no confirmed launch date and the bike spotted so far is an early prototype.
