Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the all-new Hornet 2.0 at a sticker price of Rs 1.26 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Gurgaon) in the country. The deliveries of the naked street sports fighter will start from the first week of September in the Indian market while it will also be exported to various global markets. The all-new Honda Hornet 2.0 comes with several first-in-segment features while it rivals the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The bike can also be booked at Honda's official website apart from the authorized dealerships.
Speaking of Honda Hornet 2.0, it flaunts all LED headlamps and X-shaped tail-lamp. The bike comes with first-in-class golden USD upside down forks as front suspension while monoshocks are at the helm of rear suspension duties. There are dual petal disc brakes with single channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard. Some of the prominent features include fully digital liquid crystal instrument cluster, battery volt meter, hazard switch, engine stop switch, sporty split seat, newly designed alloy wheels and a short muffler. Being based on an all-new platform, the Hornet 2.0 debuts the key on fuel tank feature. It will be available in four color options: Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. Having a kerb weight of 142 kgs, it comes with a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.
Mechanically, Honda Hornet 2.0 is powered by a BS6 compliant 4-stroke HET engine which delivers top power of 17bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 16.1Nm at 6000rpm. Being equipped with the PGM-FI technology, the engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Talking on the launch Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. As another industry first, Honda will also be offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on Hornet 2.0.
