TVS updates Apache RR310 with new slipper clutch.

Star Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is very famous for his love of all things auto. The Dhoni Garage is home to some of the fastest cars and bikes in the world among other famous vehicles. Not just this, fans of the former captain will know that the star cricketer also has an entire museum for his bikes! This garage is full of all kinds of bikes, from new to old to exotic to vintage to Japanese imports.

Now this legendary garage will also be the home to an Apache RR 310. The company has recently upgraded the bike and now the first fully faired bike from the maker comes with a slipper clutch for better gearshifts on the bike. Apart from the upgrade, the price for the Apache RR 310 has also increased, the Rs. 3,000 hike in the price of the bike now puts its cost at Rs. 2.27 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. The update to the bike also brings a new shade – Gloss Black – to the model line-up from TVS. Apart from the newer models coming with a slipper clutch, the mechanism can also be installed on the older versions of the bike. The dealerships of the company can fit the new slipper clutch on old models of the bike.

Talking about the latest upgrade to the fully faired bike from TVS, the wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni spoke about the bike and stated,

I have been associated with TVS Motor Company for over 12 years and my relationship with the company has only strengthened with each passing year. Being an avid bike enthusiast, I am excited to get the new TVS Apache RR 310 Slipper Clutch variant as it combines a stunning design with exhilarating performance. It is also a feeling of immense pride for me to own a super-premium bike from an Indian manufacturer. I wish the team all the very best for their future endeavours and look forward to hitting the road with my new motorcycle.

Apart from the new shade and the addition of the slipper clutch there is no other mechanical change on the new model of the bike. The bike remains the same as the older version. The company had also released some updates for the bike in the recent times. The last update to the bike included and update to the ECU of the bike and changes to wind visor and the bar ends of the handlebar.

Talking of the Apache RR310, it competes with bikes such as KTM Duke 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the market but at a relatively affordable price. The acceleration in Apache RR310 is provided by the 313cc, 4-stroke, 4-valve reverse inclined engine (34 PS-27 Nm) of the bike and it indeed does put a smile on the face of the riders.
