The German carmaker Volkswagen has announced that it will end the production of its legendary vehicle Beetle by the middle of next year. The Beetle was the car that has helped both the manufacturer and the country Germany to get back on its feet after the World War II.
The iconic Beetle has been in production for more than 70 years. The car has appealed to the masses because of its value and simple design. The company brought many changes to the Beetle over the years but the sales of the Beetle has been dropping even after all the efforts.
To commemorate the heritage of this legendary vehicle, Volkswagen is going to launch the final edition models of the Beetle. These final editions will be available in the shades of blue and beige. The ultimate edition of Beetle will be available in both coupe and convertible body style. These editions will also get some exclusive features. The engine on this vehicle is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that churns out 174 PS of power and 252 Nm of torque. Many car collectors and Volkswagen purists will try to get their hands on this final edition of Beetle.
