Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Launched at Rs 33.12 Lakhs

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace offers an extra third row of seats to accommodate two more occupants.

Volkswagen India has launched the Tiguan Allspace at an introductory price of Rs 33.12 Lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The premium-SUV will be offered a seven-seater as standard while a few features are borrowed from the Tiguan SUV which is already on sale since the last couple of years in the Indian market. Competing with the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavor, the Tiguan Allspace goes on sale from today across the nation.

Discontinuing the diesel powertrain, Volkswagen has packed the Allspace with a BS 6 compliant petrol engine. The 2.0-litre petrol engine develops 187 bhp max power and 320 Nm peak torque. It will be offered with a seven-speed automatic gearbox with paddleshifters alongside an all-wheel-drive system having several driving modes. In terms of performance, the Allspace can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.2 secs in its petrol avatar as compared to 9.6 secs of the outgoing diesel powered SUV.

 

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace launched


The 2020 VW Tiguan Allspace offers an extended wheelbase of 110mm and increased length by 215mm as compared to the standard Tiguan. Riding on 18-inch alloy wheels, the SUV will come with LED DRLs and a panoramic sunroof. It will be available in seven paint schemes: Habanero Orange, Pure White, Petroleum Blue, Ruby Red, Deep Black Pearl, Platinum Grey, and Pyrit Silver.

Inside the cabin, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace features new Vienna leather seats, active info display, keyless entry, touchscreen infotainment system, a multifunction steering wheel and three-zone climate control as standard. It will also offer a myriad of safety features such as seven airbags including driver's knee airbag, ABS, ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme), TPMS (Type Pressure Monitoring System), HDC (Hill Descent Control) and reverse parking camera with sensors.
