The bike is priced at Rs 20.73 lakh.

The 2018 YZF R1 costs ₹20.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is Yamaha’s flagship in the Indian market. The bike will be sold here as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is powered by a 998cc, cross-plane, flat, four-cylinder, four-valve engine that puts out a whopping 200hp.

There’s some new tech that’s been added, including a Quick Shift System (QSS) and Lift Control System (LCS). The Quick Shift System let you shift up on full throttle without having to press the clutch.

The Lift Control System improves front-wheel traction, if you’re accelerating hard, it won’t let the front wheel lose contact with the ground. There are two paint shades on sale – Yamaha Blue and Tech Black.
