Shelby American will make a limited run of ten units of the iconic 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The company calls this car "unfinished business" of its parents, Carroll Shelby and Don McCain.
The Super Snake is powered by a race-inspired, 7.0-litre V8 from Carroll Shelby Engine Co., available in both aluminium and cast-iron blocks. At 550hp, this car makes 30hp more than the original car and the motor is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car will be built from original donor 1967 Mustangs and it will be given a Shelby serial number for the official Shelby registry.
Each unit is built to order and features a dash plaque with Carroll Shelby and Don McCain's signatures. The car is priced at USD 249,995 (Rs 1.7 crore).
Other big names such as Hero’s CS Santosh will also take part in the Indian Baja 2017.
