Here is a look at what you can expect this year at Shanghai.

The motor show in Shanghai always manages to bring out quite the turnout and this year, it seems the cars itself will be doing half of the work.

BMW M4 CS
This model was initially meant to launch only in Spain but will now make its way to other foreign markets, beginning in China. The main highlight of the sportier version of the M4 is that it will take the brand's famous CS badge.

Lamborghini Urus
Hoping to target a more female-centric market, Lamborghini is pulling all stops to ensure the company's first ever SUV hits the bullseye right away. The Urus is pitted against the Bentley Bentayga in the market.

Lynk&Co 01
Taking a step into the future, the inaugural car from Geely's new Lynk&Co brand, the 01 SUV packs quite a punch. Geely aims to release later models of the car after a certain period, hoping to create popular demand.

Skoda Vision E concept
The Vision E concept is set to go on sale in 2020 and will be making its first appearance at Shanghai this year. The SUV will pave the way for a later, more developed electric vehicle from the Volkswagen Group.

Mercedes-Benz A-class sedan
Mercedes won't be kidding around with the A-class sedan as the company will be showcasing a near production-ready model at Shanghai this year, just to keep the hype going. The popularity of BMW's China-only 1-series sedan makes Shanghai the most likely location for the A-class sedan's debut, although it's not yet officially confirmed.

Mercedes-Benz S-class facelift
Mercedes sure knows how to keep everyone on the edge and what better example of that other than the launch of the S-class facelift. Nothing more than a simple sketch of the VLF Force 1 coupé has been released and we cannot wait to see what the company has in store for us.

Volkswagen ID SUV
Another feather in VW's cap, the Volkswagen ID SUV follows the ID hatchback and the ID Buzz concepts as part of the new MEB platform. It remains to be seen, however, what exactly the ID SUV delivers.

Lexus NX facelift
The fierce Lexus NX facelift has been hotly anticipated and is supposed to give the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC a tough time. Though details are not known, the facelift is said to include advanced interior tech and convenience features added along with other modifications.

Citroën C5 Aircross
With the sketches of the car having been showcased at the Geneva motor show this year, it is exciting to see the final model. Though some changes are expected, the car will definitely retain its C5 nameplate.

Mini Countryman plug-in hybrid
The portly model is supposed to give an electric-only range of up to 48km and will start selling officially in June.

Qoros Super EV concept
Making use of advanced technology, Qoros has teamed up with Koenigsegg to produce a ‘Super EV’ concept: a 500km-range, four-door, four-seat supercar. Only a few details have been released of the car, but the murky teaser images, which have been released show a rakish but chunky coupé silhouette with short overhangs and a similar layer surfacing appearance to the BMW i8.
