The Japanese manufacturer, Honda has revealed the 2019 CBR150R in Indonesia. This bike is the smallest CBR in the family. It gets updated in the cosmetic front and it remains unchanged mechanically.
The new Honda CBR150R will be available in four colour options – Matte Black, Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red and MotoGP Edition. The bike gets a taller windshield, dual LED headlights and LED indicators and a blacked-out exhaust. The pillion seat of the bike is now higher than the previous generation. The alloys on the MotoGP Edition will be orange in colour while the rest three shades will get black alloy wheels.
The bike will now come with ABS as standard. It gets petal disc brakes and a five-level setting for front and rear suspension. This CBR150R will also get Honda’s Emergency Stop Signal which enables the rear brake light to blink under panic braking scenario. The instrument cluster of the bike now gets a coloured backlight.
The engine will remain the same from the previous generation. Powering the bike is a 149cc liquid cooled engine that makes 16.8 BHP and 14.4 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The new CBR150R will be made locally in India and hence the manufacturer can price the bike very competitively. The new CBR is expected to be priced around Rs 1.40 lakhs (ex-showroom) and launch is expected in 2019. The bike when launched will go head to head against the Yamaha R15 V3.
