The 2019 Honda Civic is finally coming to India next month. The much awaited sedan from the Japanese carmaker will be making its India entry in the first week of March. Dealers have started accepting bookings for the new generation Civic for a booking amount of Rs. 50,000/-. The new Honda Civic will be available in India with petrol and diesel engine options.
For the first time in India, Honda will be introducing the Civic with a diesel engine. The car will be competing with the likes of the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia in India. The Civic will be offered with a lot of features including lane view camera, sunroof, LED headlights, power adjustable seats, etc.
Powering the new Honda Civic will be a 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 141 PS of maximum power output and 174 Nm of torque. The diesel engine will be a new 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine borrowed from the CR-V and it will produce 120 PS of peak power output and 300 Nm of torque. The sedan will be available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
