Honda is about to launch the new generation Civic in India on 7th March. The Japanese carmaker has started the production of the new Civic rolling out the first unit from their Greater Noida facility in Uttar Pradesh, where the new generation Honda Civic is being manufactured. The carmaker claims that within 7 days, they have received 3-week pre-bookings numbers which is more than what they expected.
The Civic is a very popular nameplate in India and even in the international market. The much anticipated sedan will be introduced in India for the first time with a diesel engine. The new Civic will be offered with a 1.8-litre petrol with CVT transmission and a 1.6-litre diesel with a manual transmission which returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.8 km/l, which is segment leading.
It is the same diesel engine which was introduced in India for the first time with the new Honda CR-V. The 2019 Honda Civic will compete with the likes of the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia. Some of the features of the new Civic includes dual zone climate control system, 8-way power adjustable seat, LED headlights, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, etc.
After rampaging one after another innovative car model, Nissan has once again rolled out their dice in the EV segment by unveiling a pure electric SUV rightly after the Hyper Urban concept. The carmaker is going to showcase the car's full reveal later this month in the Japan Mobility Show.
