2019 Honda Passport To Go On Sale From Early Next Year

Honda has launched the new Passport and it will go on sale from early 2019.

The Japanese carmaker, Honda has launched a crossover model called the Passport. The Passport is larger and more off-road biased than the CR-V. The vehicle is a blend of on-road comfort and off-road adventure. Honda Passport will go on sale from early 2019.

The Passport features a matte black grille which looks very sporty, it has black colour plastic body cladding, all LED lights, dual exhaust system with chrome ends and it sits on 20-inch alloy wheels. The boot space of the car is of 1166-litres and when the seats are folded down it expands to 2205-litre. Moreover, it has a towing capacity of 2268 kg.

On the inside, the Passport has a four-spoke steering wheel, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a tri-zone automatic climate control system and a 5-inch display with a 6-speaker audio system. If you opt for EX-L variant, it comes with heated and powered seats which are leather upholstered, a moonroof, a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

There are two more trims of the Passport – the Touring and Elite. These variants have a gloss black interior trim, ambient lighting, heated rear seat, an LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a 10-speaker sound system and GPS navigation. The Passport is built on Honda’s Global Light Truck Platform and hence the crossover has a rugged and go anywhere characteristics.

Powering the Passport is a 3.5-litre V6 engine that churns out 280 BHP and 354 Nm of torque. The power unit comes mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and there is an optional all-wheel-drive system. The car comes equipped with an Intelligent Traction Management System as standard, this system has four modes – normal, sand, snow and mud.
