Maruti has launched the Baleno facelift, which is priced from Rs. 5.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, the Baleno RS facelift is yet to be launched. The performance oriented version of the Baleno will get an update soon and the carmaker has revealed the styling of the same. The Baleno RS facelift will get some cosmetic changes and similar updates like the regular Baleno.
The updated Baleno RS looks even more sporty with the revised bumper that now has huge faux air intake design which looks inspired from the AMG bumpers. The grille has also been tweaked and we can expect new alloy wheel design on the exterior. The interiors of the Baleno RS are expected to get updated upholstery colour scheme and the new Smartplay Studio infotainment system.
It will get no mechanical changes and the Baleno RS will continue to get powered by the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged BoosterJet petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 100 BHP and 150 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The safety features will get updated and will include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, seat belts with pre-tensioners, force limiters & reminder, ISOFIX child seat mounts and Speed Alert System.
