2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE is now in its new generation which has grown bigger and gets new design along with new tech

The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE gets many updates in technology and design. The new GLE is very different looking from the previous generation. The front of the car houses a completely new grille along with new headlights and air intakes. The unique placing of C-pillar gives the GLE a completely different side silhouette. The rear of the car gets new slim tail lights.

The interior of the car is very beautiful and one can see the craftsmanship and details that went in to make it look premium. The new GLE gets the latest generation of MBUX on the 12.3-inch screen. The car is longer than before and hence the legroom has increased, along with storage capacity of the car that is now 825 litres. It also gets third row seating, which is a first for the GLE. If the second row of seats is folded down, the luggage capacity will increase to a massive 2055 litres.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will now be offered only in 3.0-litre, in-line six-cylinder option. But more hybrid and diesel powertrains will be available in future. The transmission on offer with the GLE is a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The ride quality of the new GLE will be better than previous vehicles from Mercedes-Benz because of E-Active Body Control. This new system controls the spring and damping forces at individual wheels, thus reducing the amount of body roll, pitch and squat of the vehicle.

On the technological front, Mercedes-Benz has given the best driving assistance systems in the GLE. These systems are Active Distance Active Distronic, Active Stop-and-Go Assist, Active Steering Assist, Active Distance Assist, Active Brake Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist. The Trailer Manoeuvring Assist system will be available as an option in GLE models for the European market. The manufacturing of the new Mercedes-Benz GLE will be done at Alabama. The new GLE will be available in Europe and U.S. by early 2019, the Asian market will get the new model by spring 2019 including India.
