2019 Triumph Street Scrambler has been launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 8.55 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It is now Rs. 5000/- cheaper than the outgoing model. The British motorcycle maker has updated the bike with new mechanicals and cosmetic changes. The logo has been redesigned and the seat has also got some changes.
Powering the 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler is a new parallel-twin, 900cc engine that has been updated with lighter crankshaft, magnesium cam covers and a new clutch. As a result, the performance from this engine has increased. It now produces a peak power output of 65 HP at 7500 RPM which is 10 HP more but the torque output remains the same at 80 Nm.
This engine is mated to the same 5-speed gearbox. The new Street Scrambler comes with riding modes - Road, Raind and Off-Road. These modes tweak the throttle response and traction control accordingly. The new motorcycle is available in three colour options in India - Khaki Green/matte aluminum, Cranberry Red and Fusion White.
