Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new 2019 Triumph Street Twin in the Indian market soon after its global debut. The new motorcycle is priced at Rs. 7.45 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 25,000/- less than its outgoing version. The Street Twin is the entry-level motorcycle in the Triumph India lineup being one of the most affordable bike in their stable.
There are minor cosmetic changes in the bike but substantial mechanical changes. The new Street Twin comes with a 900cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 65 BHP of peak power at 7400 RPM and 80 Nm of peak torque at a higher 3800 RPM. The torque remains the same but power has been increased by 10 BHP. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The new Street Twin comes with a lighter crank and balancer shaft, magnesium cam cover and a new clutch which is lighter. The bike is now being offered with riding modes - Road and Rain. The modes tweak the throttle response and traction control system accordingly. The front brakes are now Brembo four piston units. It is available in three colour options - Korosi Red, Jet Black and Ironstone
