The British motorcycle maker's custom division Triumph Factory Custom has come up with a unique Thruxton model

Triumph, the famous English bike manufacturer’s factory custom division called Triumph Factory Custom or TFC has launched the first motorcycle under it, the Thruxton Café Racer. The TFC division will pick up certain bikes from the stable of Triumph and create a spec which shall never be repeated again. Customers can use this opportunity to get their hands on a unique motorcycle, produced by the skilled hands of craftsmen in the UK.

The Thruxton TFC is a motorcycle which is very rare, special and beautiful. Limited to a mere 750 units worldwide, each will get a unique plank, with a serial number justifying its uniqueness. Moreover, all 750 of the Thruxton TFC will come with a special TFC handover pack which includes a numbered certificate signed by Triumph Motorcycles’ CEO Nick Bloor, a personalised TFC custom build book, and a branded bike cover.

The Thruxton TFC uses the 1200cc Bonneville engine that produces 107 PS, 10 PS more than the standard Thruxton R and 115 Nm of torque. The motorcycle also gets an all titanium exhaust from Vance & Hines with carbon fibre end cans and laser etched branding. Lightweight material including carbon fibre bodywork and aluminium engine rail upgrade make the bike lighter than other Thruxton motorcycles. Not only is the motorcycle more powerful than the Thruxton, but also 5 kgs lighter at 198 kgs making it even more aggressive.

It uses an Öhlins upside-down NIX30 fork and a pair of Öhlins shocks for suspension duties. As for the brakes, it uses twin 310 mm floating discs with Brembo four-piston monobloc calipers at the front and a single 220 mm disc with a Nissin caliper at the rear. The Thruxton TFC is also clad with track-spec Metzeler Racetec RR tyres.

With all these exclusive features, the Thruxton TFC is priced at £17,500 (Rs. 16.15 lakhs), a £5100 premium over the Thruxton R. Bookings are open in the UK and deliveries are slated to begin in June 2019.
