Skoda Auto, a mainstream car manufacturer, has unveiled the performance version of the Kodiaq RS three-row SUV. The new generation Skoda Kodiaq RS delivers more power than before, and it is being offered in a more sporty avatar with mechanical changes. The new generation Skoda Kodiaq RS is likely to be launched in the Indian market sometime next year. The current generation is available in our markets at a price of INR 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The brand has not confirmed whether or when the Kodiaq RS will be considered for the Indian market or whether its production will be limited to a few units. However, Skoda Auto is all set to unveil its first subcompact SUV, the Kylaq, in the Indian market on November 6, 2024. Initially rolled out four years back, the Kodiaq RS had a bi-turbodiesel engine; however, the carmaker went for gasoline in the latest Kodiaq RS facelift in 2021.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Powertrain
Under the hood, the new Skoda Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. The car now comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system. The unit can churn out power of 261 bhp and peak torque of 400 Nm. The Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, backed by a top speed of 231 kmph.

Positioned above the Sportline variant, the new RS now produces 261 horsepower to complement the latest Octavia RS. That provides it with twenty more horsepower than its previous model. The Golf GTI's power is distributed across the two wheels, and the car comes with a classy seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Skoda Kodiaq RS Updates
Skoda is offering the new-generation Kodiaq RS with a range of updates. The subcompact SUV comes equipped with adaptive bumpers and an off-road mode. It features six riding modes: Eco, Normal, Comfort, Individual, Sport, and Snow.
The Kodiaq RS comes equipped with features like matrix LED headlights and an adjustable damper. It has everything a regular SUV consumer would desire. The Czech automaker offers the new-generation model with ventilated front seats, laminated glass for all side windows, and a Canton sound system.
The all-new edition of the Skoda Kodiaq receives RS treatment with a gloss black shade on the grille frame, ORVMs, window frames, D-pillar, and roof rails. The Kodiaq RS features a new front bumper, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, RS Suedia with leatherette seats, and Skoda lettering that is finished in glossy black.
