Datsun India has launched the 2020 rediGO facelift in a price range of Rs 2.83-4.77 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The small hatchback is available in four grades: D, A, T and T (O). Due to the addition of new exterior elements, features and BS6 compliant powertrains, the 2020 Datsun redi-GO facelift is more expensive than the previous model in the range of Rs 3,000-54,000. It will challenge the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Renault Kwid and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in the Indian market.
The 2020 Datsun rediGO flaunts a refreshed front fascia with sleek headlamps and L-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). In addition, there is a redesigned front bumper with chrome-studded front grille and first-in-class LED fog lamps. The range-topping model rides on new dual tone wheel covers, which look more or less similar to alloy wheels. The company has made the internally adjustable wing mirrors as standard fitment across the entire range of rediGO. There are a total of six color schemes on offer including two never-seen-before ones in the form of Brown and Blue. The 2020 Datsun rediGO facelift has been updated to meet the latest crash test and pedestrian safety norms.
Inside the cabin, the new hatch gets a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The touchscreen unit also works as the reverse parking camera while the seats covers are finished in dual-tone scheme. Mechanically, the 2020 Datsun rediGO facelift gets the same 0.8L and 1.0L petrol engines, albeit with BS6 emission levels. The smaller 0.8L engine develops a top power of 54bhp and 72Nm, while the larger 1.0L engine belts out 68bhp and 91Nm. Both the engines get the 5-speed manual transmission as standard while a 5-speed AMT unit is also on offer with the range-topping model. The mileage figures have gone down due to the upgrade to BS6 emission norms. Below is the variant-wise price (Ex. Showroom, India) of 2020 Datsun rediGO facelift:
