The 2020 Harley Davidson Street Rod is available on a flat discount of Rs 55,000 in the Indian market. This discount is only valid for a limited period. Being originally priced at Rs 6.55 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India), Harley Davidson Street Rod is the sportier avatar of Harley-Davidson Street 750. So, after the Rs 55,000 discount, the bike can be purchased at Rs 5.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India). The Street Rod challenges the likes of Kawasaki Vulcan S, Triumph Street Twin and Ducati Monster 797 in India.
The 2020 Street Rod is available in a total of four color options: Vivid Black, River Rock Grey Denim, Stone Washed White Pearl, and Performance Orange. Besides Vivid Black, the three other colors attract an extra premium of Rs 68,500. As far as the styling is concerned, the bikes comes with a drag-style handlebar which ensures a sportier riding position. It gets a step-up split seat setup and bar end mirrors as standard. Apart from the dual front discs, the company also offers 43mm USD front forks. Mechanically, it draws power from Harley-Davidson’s BS6 compliant 749cc liquid cooled Revolution X V-Twin engine. We have already seen this engine in the Street 750. Though, it comes with a higher compression ratio of 12:1 with Street Rod which results in more torque by 8 percent.

Few days back, Harley Davidson was also offering discounts worth upto Rs 72,000 on the Street 750. The retail price after applying the discount stood at Rs 4.75 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) as the original MRP is Rs 5.47 Lakhs. Meanwhile, Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Harley-Davidson Street Rod are now also available at Canteen Stores Department (CSD) of Indian Armed Forces at special prices of Rs 4.60 Lakhs and Rs 5.65 Lakhs, respectively. So, the army personnels can make a saving of upto Rs 90,000 on the purchase of these motorcycles. Harley Davidson is the first premium motorcycle brand in the Indian market to list and sell its bikes at the Army Canteen Stores.
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2021 Ninja ZX10R and ZX10RR. These updated superbikes are expected to be launched next year in the country.
