2020 Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 Launched at Rs 99,950

The 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 is offered in two variants: Front Disc and Dual Disc.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the BS6 Xtreme 160R at a starting price of Rs 99,950 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. Being designed and developed completely in-house at the Company’s R&D hub - the Center of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in the northern Indian city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, the bike is offered in two variants: Front Disc and Dual Disc. The 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 dealer dispatch has begun while it debuts several first-in-segment features in the premium motorcycle segment in India.

 

Hero Xtreme

The 2020 Xtreme 160R had its premiere at the Hero World 2020 event in Jaipur earlier this year while it is based on the 1.R concept showcased at EICMA in 2019. The bike comes with a first-in-segment all LED package, which comprises of full LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED indicators with hazard switch, and H-shaped signature LED tail-lamps. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster with first-in-segment side-stand engine cut off. The bike is offered in three color schemes: Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue and Sports Red. Underpinning a lightweight rigid diamond frame chassis, the 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 is equipped with single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard safety feature.

Xtreme 160

The suspension duties are helmed by 37mm telescopic forks at front and 7-step adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. As for braking, the motorcycle boasts of a 276mm front petal disc and 220mm rear petal disc. It has a ground clearance of 165mm. Mechanically, the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R draws power from a BS6 compliant 160cc air-cooled engine which comes with XSens technology and advanced Programmed-Fuel-Injection. The engine develops a top power of 15bhp at 8500rpm while doing a 0-60kmph sprint in merely 4.7 seconds. The bike has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class due to the low kerb-weight of 138.5kg. The company will run a 360* media campaign for the Xtreme with the tagline – Heads will Turn, Hearts will Race! Below is 2020 Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 variant-wise price (Ex. Showroom, Delhi):
