Honda Cars India has made it official that the 2020 WRV facelift will be launched on July 2, 2020 in the country. The updated crossover was slated to arrive in the Indian market nearly three months back in April, but it was pushed back due to the nationwide lockdown because of COVID-19. The 2020 Honda WR-V facelift launch will take place digitally while it comes with cosmetic updates and a set of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. Ahead of the launch, the crossover has been spotted undisguised at a Honda dealership in Kottayam, Kerala.
Speaking of the visual updates, the 2020 Honda WRV facelift will flaunt a new grille with horizontal slats upfront. It will also get fresh LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs). The other styling elements will include roof-rails, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED tail-lamp cluster. The company is expected to introduce the 2020 WRV facelift in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in two grades: SV and VX. The interior cabin is expected to be finished in a new theme with features like driver’s seat height adjustable, power folding and adjustable ORVMs, power windows, automatic climate control, 7-inch Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.

The range-topping variant will get a few extra bells and whistles in the form of front centre armrest, cruise control, keyless entry and go, a leather-wrapped steering and a powered sunroof. Mechanically, the 2020 Honda WRV facelift will continue to draw power from the twin 1.5L engines, albeit with BS6 updates. The 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine will churn out 119bhp while the 1.5L diesel engine will make 100bhp - both the engines power the Amaze and the upcoming City sedan. There will be no automatic transmission on offer with the crossover as the company is content with a manual gearbox. The 2020 Honda WRV BS6 diesel variants are expected to deliver more mileage than the BS4 variants. The 2020 Honda WRV facelift price is expected to start at Rs 8.30 Lakhs and go as high as 11 Lakhs for the top-end model.
