Hyundai India is all set to launch the new-gen 2020 Creta BS6 on March 17, 2020 in the country. The company had showcased the new SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo while the bookings have also commenced across the Hyundai authorized dealerships across the nation. The South-Korean automaker today announced that it has ramped the production of the 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta at its Chennai facility to ensure faster delivery time. It will be up against some of the most formidable products in India such as MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier.
Underpinning a Superstructure that comprises of 74.3 percent advanced high-strength Steel, the all-new Hyundai Creta was tested on 17 drive tracks for various road driving conditions. In addition, the company also revealed that every unit of 2020 new-gen Creta SUV is 'Go Green' which means it is manufactured with 84 percent Renewable energy, thus making HMIL the Greenest plant. It follows three stages of confirmation – Weld Monitoring System, Colour TIP sensor (to ensure Weld Quality) and Sealer Inspection (to ensure Sealing Quality). The new SUV will be offered with a total of ten colour options including 2 dual tone paint schemes. The cabin will debut a plethora of latest comfort and safety features.
Mechanically, the 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta is offered with three BS 6 compliant engine options: 1.5L U2 CRDi Diesel, 1.5L MPi Petrol and the 1.4L Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol. All these engines are already on offer with Kia Seltos.
