2020 Jeep Gladiator Pickup Truck Revealed At LA Auto Show

Jeep has showcased the 2020 Gladiator Pickup Truck at the LA Auto Show.

Jeep has been the front-runner when it comes to SUVs and this time the company has revealed its next-generation pickup truck, the Gladiator. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator has made its debut at Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Jeep Gladiator will be available in four trims – Sport, Sport S, Overland and Rubicon. Out of the four, it’s the Rubicon variant which will be mainly focusing on off-road terrain. The pickup truck is longer than the Wrangler Unlimited and the loading bed is of 1254 mm. The truck has a payload capacity of 725 kg and a towing capacity of 3470 kg.

The Gladiator Rubicon has a massive ground clearance of 282 mm, an approach angle of 43.6 degrees, a break-over angle of 20.3 degrees, and a departure angle of 26 degrees. Moreover, it can wade through water up to 762 mm. The pickup is loaded with tech and features like an Off-Road+ button for driving on sand and rock crawling, a forward-facing camera, an infotainment screen, etc.

The vehicle will be available with two engine options – a 3.6-litre petrol V6 Pentastar engine rated at 285 BHP and 352 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 8-speed automatic driving all four wheels. Whereas, the exact specification of the diesel engine has not been revealed yet, but it will be only available with an automatic transmission.

The 2020 Gladiator will be the also available as a convertible pickup truck with a removable hardtop or a removable soft top or both. Moreover, it’s also the only truck to offer a fold-down windshield. With all the above thing said, the Jeep Gladiator is a go anywhere vehicle.
