KTM 250 Adventure likely to be launched during the festive season this year

The upcoming KTM 250 Adventure has been spotted quite a few times doing test runs on the Indian roads. There have also been multiple occasions in the past where we have seen the prototype of the upcoming adventure tourer. Recently, it was spotted once again in heavy camouflage. From the spy-images, we could only get info regarding the front section of the motorcycle.

The test mule in the spy images was seen flaunting a halogen headlamp instead of a full LED unit. This could be because the brand is employing the cost-cutting measures with an aim to keep the price of the motorcycle low. Recently, KTM Duke 250 with full-LED headlamps was launched. It is still not sure if the company is going to give the same update to the upcoming 250 Adventure. The spy shots also reveal that the test mule is riding on split 6-spoke alloy wheels similar to the ones found on the 390 Adventure. The upcoming 250 Adventure is also likely to share most of the features with 390 Adventure. Also, it might miss out on some of the advanced electronic suites that the elder sibling offers. These include ride-by-wire, traction control, or even quick shifter.

Mechanically, the upcoming KTM 250 will draw its power from a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that will generate 29.6 bhp power and 24 Nm torque. The motor will be offered with a 6-speed gearbox and will come equipped with electronic fuel injection. This particular engine also powers the BS6 250 Duke. The suspension duties will be taken care of by a non-adjustable 43 mm USD fork up front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock towards the rear. As for the brakes, the bike will get a 320 mm disc in the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear.

We can expect the upcoming KTM 250 Adventure to be priced in the range of Rs 2.30-2.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The spy shots also reveal that KTM 250 Adventure is almost production-ready and is most likely in its final testing phase. This gives us a hint that the bike will be launched during the festive season this year.
