2020 Maruti DZire facelift, being a mid-cycle update, will mostly have cosmetic changes at the front fascia.

The 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift will be launched in and around April (next month) in the Indian market. The new sedan will come with a mid-cycle refresh which is evident from the various spied images on the web. It has been spotted several times as test mule with camouflage but most of the cosmetic updates are quite visible with the naked eye. So, on the basis of the spy-shots available, IAB has rendered the 2020 Maruti DZire facelift. The production has already commenced while dealer dispatch is expected to begin soon.

As it will be a mid-cycle facelift, there won't be any substantial cosmetic updates in the overall profile of the sedan. The front fascia will flaunt most of the updates in the form of a new hexagonal front grille with Suzuki emblem in the middle while the current model's separate setup of lower and upper grille will go away. The bumper will also be redesigned with a fresh fog lamp garnish. The side and rear profile will majorly be carried over from the present model, save for a few subtle updates such as 15-inch precision cut alloy wheels, restyled tail-lamp cluster and bumper. The cabin will be retained from the ongoing model, except for the introduction of a new upholstery and 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Studio infotainment system.

Mechanically, the present Dzire is offered with a BS 6 compliant 1.2L K12M VVT petrol engine which returns a mileage of 21.21kmpl. It can be availed with a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT gearbox. The new sedan is expected to be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.2L K12N Dualjet VVT petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology. The power and torque figures are expected to be around 89bhp and 113Nm while the fuel economy might go up to 24.12kmpl. The transmission choices are expected to be the same in form of manual and AMT units. Currently, Maruti also retails the DZire with a BS4 compliant 1.3L DDiS 190 diesel engine but it will not be continued post April 1, 2020 as the company has no plans momentarily to upgrade it to the BS 6 emission norms.
