The automobile industry is facing the twin challenges of Coronavirus and BS6 emission norms deadline in 2020. Despite the tumultuous period, auto manufacturers haven’t slowed down in vehicle launches as a slew of new products and variants are making their way to the Indian market. The C-segment of sedans is hotting up with four cars competing against each other for a bigger market share. The 2020 Maruti Dzire Facelift, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, and Hyundai Aura are fighting for supremacy and we are going to find out where they stand out against each other.
2020 Maruti DZire Facelift Features & Engine Specs
The 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift is expected to arrive in April 2020 with a revamped front fascia. It will have a new hexagonal front grille with Suzuki emblem in the middle. The new sedan is expected to be powered by a BS6 compliant 1.2L K12N Dualjet VVT petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology. The power and torque figures will be around 89bhp and 113Nm respectively while the fuel economy might reach 24.12kmpl. To the disappointment of many, Maruti Suzuki won’t offer Dzire facelift with diesel option as the automaker has currently no intention of deploying BS6 compliant diesel engines in any of its vehicles. The cabin remains the same from the current Dzire model with few changes like new upholstery and a 7-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Studio infotainment system.
