Mercedes has revealed the AMG version of the new generation GLE

Mercedes-AMG division has added yet another beast to their lineup and this time around it is the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+. The performance oriented SUV of the new generation Mercedes GLE has been revealed officially and it will be showcased at the upcoming 2019 Geneva Motor Show by the German luxury carmaker.

Powering the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ is a mild-hybrid 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 429 BHP with a peak torque output of 520 Nm. The electric motor can additionally produce 22 BHP and 250 Nm of torque when it is required.

The 0-100 km/hr acceleration can be achieved by the GLE 53 in 5.3 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr. This fire breathing engine is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission that channels all the power to all four wheels. It comes with additional Trail and Sand modes apart from the regular Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes.
