Land Rover launched the second generation of Range Rover Evoque.

The SUV giant, Land Rover launched the next generation of Evoque in London. The company has launched the new generation after seven years. The new Evoque retains the silhouette of its predecessor but the design, equipment and features on the car have been updated to a whole new level.

The designers of the new Evoque have retained the basic shape of the previous generation Evoque. The front fascia of the SUV is inspired by Velar. The narrow grille, slim headlights and front air intakes look appealing. The black floating roof along with thin taillights make the Evoque look very sporty.

The cabin of the Evoque is very clean and futuristic. The dashboard features a digital instrument cluster, a widescreen infotainment display and a second touchscreen display for operating music system and air conditioning. The boot space of the car is of 591-litres and if the rear seats are dropped down the capacity increases to 1383-litres.

Technology-wise the compact SUV gets Ground View Technology which effectively makes the bonnet invisible by projecting camera imagery onto the upper touchscreen, allowing for a 180-degree view of what’s under the front of the crossover. Land Rover previewed this technology way back in 2014.

The Evoque is available in two engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol engine rated at 237 BHP and a 2.0-litre diesel unit which is available in two states of tune 148 BHP and 178 BHP. In terms of transmission, there is an option of 9-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual. However, the manual is available only with the diesel engines. Moreover, in 2020, the company is going to bring the hybrid Evoque. However, Land Rover has not yet revealed the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque in India, but we expect that it will be announced in the coming months.
