2021 BS6 Force Gurkha deliveries will start from October 15, 2021 in the Indian market

Force Motors has announced the launch of the all-new BS6 Gurkha SUV on September 27, 2021 in the Indian market. The off-roader was recently unveiled in the production ready format while it will go on sale from October 15 which coincides with the festival of Dussehra in India. The 2021 BS6 Force Gurkha comes with an array of cosmetic updates at the outside while getting new features in the cabin. The engine has been retained from the preceding model, albeit with a bit of retuning. Force Gurkha will directly rival Mahindra Thar in the country.

2021 BS6 Force Gurkha Design and Features

The Pune-based brand has retained the original identity of the SUV by making no changes in the silhouette. The styling is aggressive and sharp while inspired by Mercedes G-Wagon with a boxy layout. The front fascia flaunts round LED headlights with DRLs which are flanked by the 'shark' grille. The bonnet has been tweaked too with snorkel also being a standard feature. The primary highlight of the interior cabin is the inclusion of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility. In addition, it would have captain seats in the second row with individual armrests and USB charging points. Other features include power windows, central locking and air-conditioning.

2021 BS6 Force Gurkha Engine

The SUV will be powered by the same 2.6L diesel engine which has been upgraded to comply with the BS6 emission norms. It will churn out top power of 90 bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm while paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The BS6 Force Gurkha will feature a 4x4 drive system as standard with locking front and rear differentials. The suspension duties will be helmed by an independent double-wishbone unit at front while there will be a rigid axle with coil springs all around at the rear. It has a water wading capacity of 700 mm due to the snorkel. The SUV comes loaded with dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard safety features.
