Jeep Compass Facelift will make its debut at the 2020 Guangzhou International Motor Show; India launch in 2021

Jeep Compass Facelift is all set to make its debut at the 2020 Guangzhou International Motor Show. The compact SUV will be launched in India sometime in 2021. Its production is likely to begin towards the end of this year. Recently, the American automaker has teased the Compass Facelift in the form of a set of sketches. These teaser images reveal a few key details about the Compact SUV.

Upfront, the upcoming Jeep Compass Facelift will get a new front bumper with larger and wider air damp. The headlight design has been tweaked and is likely to be an all-LED unit on most variants. The front grille will now get honeycomb-like inserts. The teaser images do not reveal anything about the rear end. However, we can expect the Compact SUV to get subtle tweaks here as well. Furthermore, the four-wheeler is also expected to feature a new set of alloy wheels.

Talking about the interiors, the sketches reveal that the 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift will offer leather inserts on the dashboard with double stitching. The main feature highlight will be the FCA’s (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) latest UConnect5 infotainment system. The system in particular gets a 10.1-inch screen instead of an 8.4-inch unit present in the current model. There will also be a set of new AC vents within the cabin.

Under the bonnet, the Jeep Compass Facelift in the global market is likely to be powered by a new downsized 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol unit. While the India-spec Compass Facelift will continue to be powered by the same engines as the outgoing model. These include a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit delivers 163 bhp power and the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor pumps out 173 bhp of maximum power output.
