2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 BS6 Launched at Rs 6.79 Lakhs

The BS6 compliant model is merely Rs 10,000 expensive than the BS4 version

Kawasaki India has launched the BS6 compliant 2021 Versys 650 at a starting price of Rs 6.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. It has been introduced in a Candy Lime Green colour. The new adventure tourer will take on the likes of Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and Triumph Tiger 800 in the Indian market. The BS6 compliant 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 is expensive by nearly Rs 10,000 than the BS4 model. Besides the addition of a BS6 compliant engine and the price hike, there are no cosmetic changes in the motorcycle by Kawasaki.

Riding on 17-inch wheels, the 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 comes with an upright riding position and has been developed to ride on almost every terrain including the mountains. It gets a large fuel tank of 21 litres while boasting of an adjustable windscreen and wide handlebar. The gear indicator is also available in the instrument cluster. There are petal disc brakes offered as standard while suspension duties are helmed by inverted forks at front and offset laydown single-shock with remote preload adjuster at the rear. Being the most affordable Adventure Tourer from Kawasaki in India, the motorcycle doesn't get as many premium features as the Ninja 650 or the Z650. Just so you know, Kawasaki Versys X300 has been discontinued in India.

Mechanically, the 2021 Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by a BS6 compliant 649cc parallel twin engine which delivers a top power of 68bhp and peak torque of 64Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox while dual-channel ABS as standard safety feature. The new motorcycle can be booked at all the company authorized dealerships or via the Kawasaki India website.
