MG Motor India introduced the updated Hector in the country last month. Now, the automaker is expected to introduce a CVT automatic variant of the SUV by next-week. The brand is likely to offer the CVT with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Currently, the 2021 Hector is offered with two engine options. A 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit that churns out 140 bhp power and 250 Nm torque while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with 6-speed DCT as an option. The engine further comes coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid motor. There is also a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
No other changes will be made to the MG Hector CVT automatic. Design-wise, it will continue to feature a thermo-pressed chrome grille, gunmetal front & rear skid plates, new 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, and a black-applique running between the tail-lamps. Moving on to the interiors of the MG Hector SUV, it gets lighter Champagne and Black dual-tone theme. Feature highlights here include a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. Furthermore, the SUV also gets the latest version of iSmart connected car tech that supports English & Hinglish commands.
Talking about the colour options, the updated Hector is offered in a new starry blue paint job along with standard shades like glaze red, burgundy red, aurora silver, starry black, candy white, candy white with starry black, and glaze red with starry black.
