MG Hector gets climate control that can be operated remotely via the Apple Watch

MG Motor India has introduced a new connectivity feature on its 2021 Hector. The SUV now gets climate control via the Apple Watch along with the Android and IOS phone app. This new feature will allow the users to set car temperature remotely according to their preference. 




Besides this, 2021 MG Hector comes with upgraded i-SMART telematics with a Hinglish voice assistant that understands & responds to 35+ voice commands. Through this feature, the user can control various in-car functions like Sunroof (“Khul Ja Sim Sim”), FM (“FM Chalao”), AC (“Temperature Kam kar do”), and many more. The SUV is further equipped with an engine start alarm and an in-car voice alert for critical tyre pressure. Apart from these newly added features, the 2021 Hector comes loaded with 60+ Connected car features. In terms of safety, it offers 25+ standard features like ESP, hill hold control, traction control, rear defogger, and rear wiper & washer among many others. 

Performance-wise, the 2021 Hector is offered with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit that dishes out 141 bhp power and 250 Nm peak torque. This engine can be availed of with a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In case you opt for the 48V mild-hybrid system then you will only get a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is also a 2.0-litre diesel unit on sale that generates 168 bhp power and 350 Nm peak torque while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
