Royal Enfield is all set to launch the new-gen Classic 350 in the Indian market. However, prior to the official launch which is around the corner, the bike has been spotted in production-ready form. It is being learnt that the new-gen 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 launch in India would have already happened, had the lockdown not been imposed due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The motorcycle is expected to be launched at a price around Rs 1.80 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country.
The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will share the same J-platform as the Meteor 350. It would also borrow several other elements from the Meteor 350 such as the retro styled switchgear and Tripper navigation pod. Though, the navigation pod would be integrated in the overall headlight binnacle of the motorcycle. The spotted unit comes in a black color scheme with matte and gloss. This is the first time that the upcoming Classic 350 has been spotted in an official paint shade. However, the choice of red color for the seats is unexpected and surprising. One can also notice the wire-spoke wheels with chrome elements around the exhaust and engine components.
The spy-images also show another unit of the 2021 Classic 350 which is flaunting alloy wheels and blacked out engine parts. Hence, it is being believed that the bike will be offered in multiple variants and color choices, identical to the ongoing iteration of the cruiser motorcycle. Mechanically, it would be powered by the same engine as the Meteor 350. The BS6 compliant 349cc single cylinder motor is expected to deliver a power output of 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine could be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The 2021 new-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 will get disc brakes at both rear and front, while a semi-digital instrument cluster will also be offered as standard.
