The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan to be offered in three new color options

Royal Enfield is planning to launch the updated Himalayan towards the end of this month. The motorcycle has been spotted doing test runs quite a few times in the past. Ahead of its official launch, a few details about the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan have been leaked on the web. Images regarding the same have emerged online.

As per the leaked images, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan will be offered in three new color options namely Granite Black, Mirage Silver, and Pine Green. Besides these, three of the older colors - Gravel Grey, Lake Blue, and Rock Red - have been retained.

Cosmetically, the updated Himalayan will look mostly similar to its predecessor. However, subtle changes have been incorporated. The metal frame mounted near the fuel tank has been redesigned for less knee interference. In the current model, it seemed to cause inconvenience to taller riders. Furthermore, the bike will now sport a taller windshield.

One of the most important updates for the 2021 Himalayan will be the tripper navigation. This segment-first feature made its debut on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 that was launched last year. It is basically Royal Enfield’s Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation system. The seat will now come in brown color and is likely to be made using a higher density of foam for more comfort. The images also reveal that the bike will get a new rear carrier with a flat surface metal plate.

Performance-wise, the 2021 Himalayan will get the same 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. While being mated to a 5-speed gearbox, this engine in its current state produces 24.3 bhp power and 33 Nm torque. However, we can expect the updated Himalayan to produce more torque and power.
