Skoda Kushaq is all set to be launched on June 28, 2021, in the country. The bookings for the SUV will begin on the same date. However, we can expect the deliveries to commence in July. Ahead of its official launch, variant details have been leaked online.
According to the leaked image, the upcoming Kushaq will be offered in a total of three variants namely - Active, Ambition, and Style. Performance-wise, the base Active trim will only be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mid-spec Ambition trim, on the other hand, will come equipped with a 1.0-litre TSI petrol unit that can be availed with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Moving on to the top-end Style variant, it will be available with both 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo petrol units. The former will be linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option. While the latter can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic unit.
Design-wise, the all-new Kushaq features Skoda’s signature grille with black vertical slats and chrome surrounds upfront. In addition, it also gets automatic LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, silver roof rails, fog lights, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and rear bumper-mounted reflectors.
Inside the cabin of the Skoda Kushaq, it will be loaded with bells and whistles. The layered dashboard comes with a thin chrome bar. Feature highlights include a two-spoke steering wheel, a customizable 10-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, internal memory storage, ambient lighting, six speakers & a 50w subwoofer, among many others. The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, & wireless smartlink. Furthermore, the SUV also comes equipped with ‘My Skoda’ features which gives access to vital information like rip analysis, live vehicle tracking, and many more to the passengers. The safety kit comprises airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold control, rear view camera, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat anchorage points, and multi-collision brake.
