The entire second batch which comprised of 100 units was sold out in just one hour

Suzuki Motorcycle India had restarted bookings for the 2021 Hayabusa on July 1, 2021 in the country. However, the entire second batch which comprised of 100 units was sold out in just one hour and hence, the Japanese brand had to again suspend the bookings. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa was launched on April 26 at a sticker price of Rs 16.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the Indian market. Being sold via the CBU route, it is nearly Rs 2.70 Lakhs more expensive than the preceding model which used to be manufactured locally in India.

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa bookings started at 10 AM on July 1, 2021 via online mode at a token payment of Rs 1 Lakh. In addition, the buyers were also provided the option of visiting the dealerships and booking the superbike there. Identical to the first batch which consisted of 101 units, the second batch too had 100 units up for grab. The deliveries for the second batch of Hayabusa is expected to start from next month, i.e. August 2021. It is being learnt that once all the deliveries of the first and second batch are completed, Suzuki might reopen bookings for the third batch of superbikes in September 2021. Currently, it is not known if all the 100 units have arrived in India or not.

The bookings amount of Rs 1 Lakh for the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is refundable but if the information provided mismatches or a buyer chooses incorrect color option, then the company has the right to deduct Rs 25,000 from the booking amount. The remaining amount of Rs 75,000 will be refunded to the buyer. Furthermore, the rear seat cowl which was offered free of cost with the first batch of Hayabusa motorcycles is now chargeable and a buyer needs to pay for it alongside the other optional accessories which include front axle slider, fuel tank pad, rim stickers, rearview mirror covers, touring windscreen and luggage hook. Suzuki Hayabusa doesn't have a direct rival in the Indian market.
