The India-bound 2021 Triumph Speed Twin comes with higher performance and enhanced technology.

Triumph Motorcycle has revealed the 2021 Speed Twin. The updated model comes with several cosmetic changes along with mechanical upgrades. Talking about the India launch, the details are still not revealed.

Cosmetically, the 2021 Speed Twin features a new anodized headlight mount, LED DRL, a semi-digital instrument cluster, an engine immobilizer, and an under-seat USB power socket. Furthermore, it also gets new 12-spoke cast wheels wrapped in Metzeler Racetec RR tyres, new twin upswept sporty silencers with brushed stainless-steel headers, and mudguard mounts. Design bits like a bench seat, a rounded fuel tank with a Monza cap, and bar-end mirrors have been retained from the outgoing model. Besides these, Triumph is also offering a wide range of optional accessories with the motorcycle. Talking about the electronic rider aids, it includes three riding modes (Rain, Road, & Sport), ABS, and traction control system.

Performance-wise, the 2021 Speed Twin gets a BS6 compliant 1200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that churns out 98.6 bhp power at 7250rpm and 112 Nm peak torque at 4250rpm. The engine comes linked to a 6-speed gearbox. In comparison to its predecessor, the updated motor makes more power and is claimed to be more responsive.

Besides mechanical upgrades, the hardware setup has also been improved. The suspension duties are now handled by 43mm Marzocchi upside-down forks with cartridge damping upfront and preload-adjustable twin-sided springs towards the rear. In terms of the brake, the new model gets 320mm twin discs with Brembo M50 calipers at the front and a 220mm single rotor with a Nissin-sourced caliper at the rear. The 2021 Speed Twin is offered in three color options namely Red Hopper, Matte Storm Grey, and Jet Black.
