Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 2021 Street Scrambler at a starting price of Rs 9.35 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The bike is Rs 80,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart. Moving on, it rivals the likes of the Ducati Scrambler 800 range that starts from Rs 7.99 lakhs and goes as high as Rs 8.49 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom).
Design-wise, the 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler gets several updates in terms of a new aluminium number board, new throttle body finishers, a new heel guard, and brushed aluminium headlight brackets. In addition, it gets LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster, key-fob incorporated immobiliser, high-mounted twin exhaust, and a USB charging socket. Furthermore, the 2021 model comes with a high grip ‘bear trap’ adventure style footpegs, an elegantly shaped tank with a lockable cap, a new ribbed seat with a mix of leather & textile for the seat cover, and a minimal front mudguard. The electronic package includes switchable ABS, riding modes, and traction control.
The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler is offered in a total of three color options namely Jet Black, Urban Grey, and dual-tone Matt Khaki & Matt Ironstone.
Performance-wise, the 2021 Street Scrambler gets the 900cc parallel twin engine that churns out a top power of 64 bhp at 7250rpm and a peak torque of 80 Nm at 3250rpm. The motor is further linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Moreover, the bike comes with chain drive, switchable ABS, and traction control. It also gets three ride modes namely Road, Rain, and Off-Road. The bike sits on a twin cradle frame. Suspension duties are taken care of by a non-adjustable 41mm fork upfront and twin preload adjustable shocks towards the rear end.
