The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 deliveries will start from the beginning of September in India

Kawasaki India has launched the MY22 Ninja 650 at a sticker price of Rs 6.61 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. Being available in two colors namely Pearl Robotic White and Lime Green, the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 deliveries will start from the beginning of September. Besides the introduction of new color schemes, the superbike is unchanged in terms of cosmetics and mechanicals. Just so you know, the 2022 Ninja 650 is nearly Rs 7,000 more expensive than the preceding model while it rivals Honda CBR 650R and CFMoto 650GT in the Indian market.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Design and Features

The Ninja 650 flaunts twin LED headlamps with new sharper styling while it rides on Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. It also boasts of a 4.3-inch TFT colored instrument console with Bluetooth compatibility. The Smartphone can be paired via RIDEOLOGY THE APP. The MY 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 had its world premiere earlier this year in June. The brand also offers a KRT Edition of the motorcycle in various global markets but it is not expected to go on sale in India.


2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Engine

The Ninja 650 continues to be powered by the same 649cc 8-valve parallel twin petrol engine with top power of 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch as standard. It is the same powertrain-gearbox setup that is on offer with the Z650 streetfighter motorcycle. As for the suspension setup, it gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are helmed by dual disc units upfront and a single disc at the rear. The dual-channel ABS is offered as a standard safety feature with the sports tourer motorcycle. It has a kerb weight of 196 kgs while seat height of the rider is marked at 790 mm.
