The 2022 Range Rover comes with cosmetic updates at the outside and new features in the cabin

Jaguar Land Rover has globally unveiled the fifth-gen model of its flagship product Range Rover. The British luxury brand also stated that the SUV will get a PHEV version in 2023 while an all-electric variant will be introduced in 2024. Underpinning the new MLA-Flex architecture, the 2022 Range Rover comes with cosmetic updates at the outside and new features in the cabin. The company has also offered new engine options with the SUV while it rivals the likes of Bentley Bentayga and Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Speaking of the cosmetic updates, the 2022 Range Rover flaunts newly designed LED headlamps upfront. The overall profile of the SUV hasn't changed much but it does get a completely revamped LED tail lamp cluster. It can be availed with wheel size ranging from 20-inch to 23-inch. Some other design updates include blacked out pillars, floating roofline and a split tailgate. It is available in 5-seater version as standard while a 7-seater configuration with third row and longer wheelbase has been introduced for the first time. The 2022 Range Rover LWB has a wheelbase extended by 200mm as compared to the regular 5-seater model. The 7-seater version would rival Toyota Land Cruiser in the Indian market.

As for features, the 2022 Range Rover boasts of a 13.1-inch curved touchscreen Pivi Pro infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Connected Car Technology. It also features a couple of 11.4-inch touchscreen tablets which are mounted on the back of front seats for the second row occupants. The Terrain Response 2 alongside other ADAS features come as standard with the SUV. Mechanically, it can be availed with three engine choices in the form of 3.0L V6 petrol with 48V hybrid system, 3.0L V6 diesel and 4.4L twin-turbo V8 unit. All the aforementioned engines are offered with an automatic transmission as standard as there is no manual gearbox available even as an option.
